CHOOSE YOUR DESIGN

Every municipality is different.  We'll start by checking to see what is allowed in your yard and give you your options.  Dimensions, lot lines, access to utilities etc, all play a part in determining what can be built and where.  Smaller window only units, and larger catios detached from the home with an access tunnel to a window on the house, are often the easiest to build because anything attached to home has more rules to follow and approvals needed.  Size and style depending, a permit may be required.  We'll help you put together the paperwork needed to file for your permit if one is needed.

CONTRACT & PAYMENT

50% down and contract signing is required to start the process.  Our contract was written by our attorney and protects both us and you.  We are a registered LLC, registered with the IRS, and fully insured in Wisconsin.

CONSTRUCTION BEGINS

Cat Sass Catios are custom-built by Alvin, our Amish builder using lumber from specific sources, not big box retailers.  These sources ensure our lumber is straight & strong, while Alvin's expertise and attention to detail provides a long-lasting structure that is built to last.  We don't build flimsy boxes disguised as catios, we build structures that are built and installed according building codes.  Additionally, our units are secured to the ground and built to meet your municipality's requirements.  We build actual joists, headers, and framed walls.  The time from selection to install is about 4-8 weeks depending on size, options, and location.

PROFESSIONALY INSTALLED

Once your catio is constructed to your specific specs, we deconstruct it allowing for transport it to you and get it into it's permanent location.  Then, we re-assemble it and add any additional features you've chosen.  This takes about one day, possibly two for large units and/or extensive customization.  In most cases, we bring in one of our excavators to place a gravel base below the frost line.  This ensures your catio doesn't settle and is sometimes even required by the municipality.

WARRANTY

All Cat Sass Catios come with a 1 year warranty on build materials and workmanship.
