MATERIALS WE USE

All of our lumber is sourced from the Amish community by Alvin, our Amish builder, not big box stores.  This ensures our lumber is straight and sturdy.  We only use treated lumber to withstand Wisconsin's changing seasons.

We use metal or shingle roofing, metal siding, and a metal knee wall on the lower 20" of the Catio perimeter.  You choose your roof color and siding color.  *NEW Wood & Stone look options also available for knee wall and siding!

WE DO NOT USE CHICKEN WIRE, METAL MESH, OR CLOTH MESH!  

Our screen is covered in a smooth coating that is 7x stronger than normal screen and withstands climbing and prevents birds, critters, bugs and flying insects from entering the Catio, and then your home.  (My 8 cats have been climbing it for 5 years and it still looks as good as new).  It does not warp, loosen, or stretch.  We attach each panel separately and trim it out on the exterior.  In the event that something ever happens to a panel due to a storm or accidental damage, all you have to do is unscrew the trim and you can replace just one panel with ease.  You can purchase more screen from us if this ever happens.  I've never had to replace one of my many panels but during a straight-line wind storm here in Winnebago County in 2022, I was grateful that I had the option if I needed it.  

All screen is trimmed out in a waterproof PCV trim.  Available colors are white, clay, and black.

We trim panels so that in the event of damage from a storm etc, the trim can be easily removed and only that panel of screen has to be replaced.

Pet protected flooring in your choice of 6 patterns and colors.  Having a floor allows you to keep your Catio clean, but it also prevents bugs and insects from coming up into the Catio from the ground.  In addition, we have floor joists, treated plywood, and the flooring is adhered to the top.

Our Amish builder, Alvin, custom builds our doors and finishes them with a heavy handle so you can keep your Catio secure.  You have the option of adding your own padlock.  Doors can be finished to match or accent your roof or siding choice.
